Events

The Ferret Nook is involved in many events throughout the year to bring people together in support of ferrets and to raise necessary funds for the shelter kids.

Fall Picnic - Usually set in September or October annually.
Boston Store Community Days - Annually in November and March. For more information, call the Shelter.
Ferret Fun Days - Year round. This is a chance for ferrets and their owners to get together for games and socializing. Ferrets compete in sack races, tube races and cup tipping. There are also contests for kissing, yawning and best dressed. Here are the pictures from one of our Fun Days. ENJOY! It was GREAT!
Board of Directors - Our Board meetings are held at The Ferret Nook. Board meetings are open to the public however, only members have voting rights.
Ferret Shows - The Ferret Nook Shelter / Adoption Center is represented annually at the following shows: Ferret Fiesta, Wauwatosa, WI in April; Ferret Buckeye Bash, Columbus, OH latter part of August; and the Greatest Ferret Show on Earth (GCFA), Lake Villa, IL mid-October. We display our brochures and business cards at Kritter Koncepts' tables. Kritter Koncepts in turn donates a portion of all proceeds made at each show to the Ferret Nook.
PetSmart Information Day - We have a table set up monthly at the West Side PetSmart. Marsha Stanek has graciously donated her time and brings her ferrets (or ferrets up for adoption) and answers questions and hand out ferret care information.
PetCo Information Day - Janesville, WI -- we are in need of someone to fill this volunteer slot.
wClub - During the UW Football and Hockey season, we man a concession booth at Camp Randall and the Kohl Center. Contact Barry Fritz at (608) 206-5124 or email him at info@ferretnook.org. We usually need 10 people for each event.
